Viscount Simon
Viscount Simon , of Stackpole Elidor in the County of Pembroke , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .
Award
The title was created on May 20, 1940 for the liberal politician and Chancellor of the Exchequer Sir John Simon . After being awarded the Viscount dignity , he was Lord Chancellor in Churchill's cabinet .
