Vithimiris
Vithimiris (also Withimer , Visimar , Vithimir ) was a rex of Greutungen around 375/376.
Vithimiris is only mentioned in the res gestae of the late antique historian Ammianus Marcellinus , who wrote his work shortly after the events discussed. Vithimiris became a leader of the Greutungen after the death of Ermanarich (a relationship seems doubtful) in 375. He fought against the Alans, allied with the Huns , and died after some fighting.
Jordanes reported in Getica , written in 551, of a Vinitharius as Ermanarich's successor. After some time he was killed in a fight with the Huns. In research, Vinitharius is often equated with Vithimiris, but this is not without its problems.
