from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Vitibuck Tower is a 37 meter high wooden observation tower on the Vitibuck , Tiengen's local mountain . The summit of Vitibuck is around 120 meters above the city of Tiengen.

history

The path leads past the former Baden farming school to the summit, where a 20-meter-high observation tower was built in 1936. It burned down at the end of August 1975, the new building by the local architect Willi Jockers was inaugurated in September 1979. A 37 meter high tower with 131 steps was built in an interesting wooden construction, with a covered viewing platform, this now enables a panoramic view over the highest treetops with a clear view over the Küssaburg to the Alps.

today

The observation tower is a popular destination and easy to reach on a moderate ascent. Climbing the tower requires a head for heights .
