Vivian is a Swiss music group from Zell .

Band history

Vivian and Status Quo

It was founded in 1998 and in the same year received the title “Newcomer of the Year” in Lucerne. A short time later, the group around front man Roger Vivian received their first record deal with Sony BMG Music Entertainment . The band plays a musical mixture of pop , rock and punk . The track "Only One" from her debut album "V" became her first radio hit in Switzerland. After the release of the second album "Alive" ( Warner ) the group joined u. a. at the Montreux Jazz Festivalon. Their third album "Don't Look Down" was released in Switzerland in 2005 (Top 40) and in 2006 in Germany. The song "None Of These Days" quickly became a radio hit in Switzerland. Vivian played u. a. as tour support for Status Quo . In May 2007 the fourth album "Vivianism" (Fastball Music) came out, which was also able to place itself directly back in the Swiss charts . The single "Bad Creation" made it into the airplay charts. Vivian played at the renowned Sweden Rock Festival this year.

In 2009 the album Nordic Hotel , which was produced by Sandi Strmljan in Hamburg, was released and entered the Swiss sales charts . The single Wanna Go To Mars - a duet with Status Quo frontman Francis Rossi , made it into the airplay charts. In 2009 she also worked with her Swiss colleague Patrick Nuo . Together they released the single The Sun .

The band's main songwriter is lead singer / guitarist Roger Vivian along with lyricist and producer Mark Edward.
