Radosław Sobolewski [ raˈdɔswaf sɔbɔˈlɛfsci ] (born December 13, 1976 in Białystok ) is a former Polish football player .

Club career

Sobolewski began his career in his hometown with Jagiellonia Białystok . Before the second half of the 1997/98 season he moved to Wisła Płock , where he stayed until the first half of the 2002/03 season. His next stop in the Ekstraklasa was Dyskobolia Grodzisk , for which he was used until the 2004/05 season. Again during the winter break, he moved to the top Polish club Wisła Krakau , with which he became Polish champion straight away in 2005. Three more championships followed. Sobolewski was also the captain of Wisła Kraków for many years. From 2013 he played for the Polish record champions Górnik Zabrze until he ended his career in 2016.

National team

From 2003 to 2007 Sobolewski played 32 times for the Polish national team and scored one goal.

On June 14, 2006, at the World Cup preliminary round match against Germany, Sobolewski got the yellow-red card in the 75th minute and is thus the only Polish national player who was expelled from a World Cup to this day.
