Dariusz Dudka [ ˈdarʲuʃ ˈdutka ] (born December 9, 1983 in Kostrzyn nad Odrą ) is a Polish football player .
Career
society
Until the 1998/99 season Dudka played in his hometown with Celuloza Kostrzyn . At the end of 1999 he moved to the then Polish first division club Amica Wronki and made his debut at the age of 17 in the Ekstraklasa . After more than 90 league games for Wronki, the left-back moved to Wisła Krakow at the beginning of the 2005/06 season .
After the European Football Championship in 2008 Dudka moved to France to AJ Auxerre . After relegation in the summer of 2012, he went to the Spanish first division club Levante UD . On November 1, 2013 he was committed by the English second division club Birmingham City . Since his contract only had a term of two months and was not extended, Dudka left the club after a short time. In mid-February 2014 he returned to his Polish homeland to Wisła Krakow . Dudka has always been a regular at Wisła. For the 2015/16 season he moved to the Polish champions Lech Posen , where he signed a contract for three years. Since 2017, however , the defender has only been active in his reserve team. On August 4, 2020 he became Dariusz Żuraw's assistant in the first team.
National team
Dudka has long been considered one of the greatest Polish talents and has so far played 65 times for the Polish selection . National coach Paweł Janas appointed him to the squad for the 2006 World Cup in Germany and the new selection coach Leo Beenhakker for the 2008 European Football Championship in Austria and Switzerland . In 2012 he also took part in the European Football Championship in his own country and in Ukraine .
