Celuloza Kostrzyn is a football club from the Polish border town Kostrzyn nad Odrą ( German  Küstrin ), which played two seasons in the second highest Polish division from 1982 to 1984 .

Club history

The club was founded in 1959 under the name ZKS Zakładowy Klub Sportowy Celuloza . Celuloza celebrated the greatest successes in the 1980s, when they played for two years in the second highest Polish league, the first division . After relegation from the first division, the team played uninterruptedly in third division until 1997, before relegation to the fourth highest division followed. The greatest success in the Polish Cup was in the 1983/84 season reaching the 4th round, when after a narrow defeat against eventual cup winner Lech Poznań they missed the second round. Celuloza is best known for the fact that some current Polish top players such as the two national players Dariusz Dudka and Grzegorz Wojtkowiak and the former U21 national player Dawid Kucharski competed for Celuloza in their youth.
