Grzegorz Wojtkowiak [ 'ɡʒɛɡɔʃ vɔjt'kɔvi̯ak ] (born January 26, 1984 in Kostrzyn nad Odrą , Poland ) is a Polish football player who is under contract with Lechia Gdańsk .
Club career
Wojtkowiak began his career in his hometown Küstrin near Celuloza Kostrzyn . In 2003 he came to his first professional club Amica Wronki . After three years at Wronki, he joined the second club after the club merged with Lech Posen . He made his international debut at Lech. In the UI Cup 2006/07 he played through the away game against the Moldovan representative FC Tiraspol in the 2nd round. The game in Tiraspol ended 0-1. In 2008/09 he was used for the first time in the UEFA Cup . With Lech Posen, he was cup winner in 2009 and Polish champion in 2010. In qualifying for the 2010/11 Champions League , he was eliminated with Poznan in the 3rd round against Sparta Prague .
For the 2012/13 season , the German second division TSV 1860 Munich signed Wojtkowiak. He signed a three-year contract until June 30, 2015 and moved free of charge.
He scored his first goal for Munich on matchday 1 against Jahn Regensburg when he scored the winning goal to make it 1-0. In the further course of the season he was used regularly.
In January 2015 Wojtkowiak returned to Poland to Lechia Gdańsk , where he was assigned to the second team in 2018 .
He also returned to Gdansk for the 2019/20 season, but here too he has only played in the second team so far.
National team
He made his debut for the Polish national football team on September 10, 2008 against San Marino . Wojtkowiak played through in the back four and Poland won 2-0.
