Vivian Langrish

Vivian Langrish (born March 1894 in Bristol ; † May 21, 1980 ) was an English pianist and music teacher .

Life

Langrish had piano lessons with WE Fowler and Tobias Matthay . He was a professor at the Royal Academy of Music in London and was a teacher at Matthay's piano school for 25 years.

He has performed internationally as a concert pianist under conductors such as Henry Wood and Adrian Boult and worked in a duo with the pianist Egerton Tidmarsh . Greville Cooke dedicated the piano piece Reef's End to him .

Langrish published arrangements of compositions for two pianos.
