Vlastimil Chalupa
Vlastimil Chalupa (born October 17, 1919 in Ratenice ) was a Czechoslovak politician and minister. He was a member of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia .
Political career
After studying at the Technical College for Communication Technology, the Military Political School and the University of Transport, Chalupa worked in state administration from 1952 to 1969, sometimes in management positions in the postal and telecommunications sector. In 1970 he became Deputy Minister for Post and Telecommunications. In May 1971 he himself became Minister of Post and Telecommunications in the Lubomír Štrougal I government and held this post in the Lubomír Štrougal II , Lubomír Štrougal III and Lubomír Štrougal IV governments until May 1986.
