Birdseed Painter
The birdseed painter was a provisional names designated Attic - Late Geometric potters and vase painters.
The birdseed painter was the main representative of the birdseed workshop . His vase painting developed from the early workshop of Athens in 894 and can be assigned to the Late Geometric IIa and early Late Geometric IIb . He is possibly the inventor of the figural bowl decoration, which was based on oriental metal bowls. It got its emergency name due to its depiction of birds, which were connected by a chain of dots ("bird food") running on the feet and another between the beak and back of the fore bird. It was around between 735 and 720 BC. Active.
