hotel-ami.de is a host directory available in sixteen languages for the search for hotels, guest houses and other accommodations.
history
hotel-ami.de was founded in 1996 as a sole proprietorship by Bernhard Schädlich in Bensheim . In 1999 the company was converted into a GmbH and the headquarters relocated to Eppelheim . The company now has over 45 employees, who look after the partner hotels around the world by telephone. In 2003, the hotel-ami.de hotel directory was ranked among the best travel links by Stiftung Warentest . The portal registers several 10,000 hits every day. In 2005 the company introduced an additional, barrier-free version of the website for the visually impaired and the blind.
particularities
The database provides efficient results by selecting 50 different house criteria. Interactive maps show the way to 35,000 cities and towns from 205 countries. Hosts have the opportunity to publish special offers and seasonal features that are always up-to-date. Telephone booking inquiries to the hosts are free of charge for potential guests. Online bookings and reservation inquiries are also possible through the system.
In contrast to comparable competitors, hotel-ami.de does not incur any booking-related costs and / or fees, neither for the partner hotels nor for the customers referred to them via hotel-ami.de.
Cooking school
In the summer of 2008, the Eppelheim cooking school was opened, which on the one hand functions as a cooking school for ambitious hobby cooks, but also acts as a tour operator. It is the only tour operator in Germany that specializes in trips that focus on the active cooking of the travel participants.
