The Voie de la Liberté is a historic route in northern France, Luxembourg and Belgium, which shows the course of the liberation by the Allies after D-Day at the end of the Second World War . The length is 1446 km, each kilometer is marked by a kilometer stone (Borne).

history
In June 1944, Colonel Guy de la Vasselais, Liaison Officer of the French Armed Forces with the US Army, had the idea of creating this historic route. Completion took place in 1946/47, the grand opening took place on September 18, 1947 in Fontainebleau.
