Volker Harbs (born July 11, 1946 ) is a former German handball player .
Volker Harbs, who came up with the shirt number 7, mostly played in the middle of the backcourt . In his youth he began with the Büdelsdorfer TSV with handball, for which he also played in the field handball Bundesliga . In 1970 he went to THW Kiel , where he played in the handball Bundesliga for nine years . For the national team Harbs played ten full international matches in which he threw seven goals. In 1979 he ended his active handball career at THW.
Harbs is a business engineer.
