Volkmar Koller

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Volkmar Koller was a bailiff of the Saxon office of Eckartsberga and owner of Steinburg Castle .

Koller came from the Thuringian noble family Koller and was the brother of Hans Koller on Bucha. In the summer of 1493 he took over the post of bailiff of Eckartsberga for an annual salary of 30 guilders from his predecessor Cunz Rudolf. His request for dismissal from the position of bailiff was approved, albeit reluctantly, by Duke Georg of Saxony on November 11, 1512 for the end of the financial year, May 1, 1513.

His son Jacob Koller, a knight at Steinburg and Bucha, lost his life on August 3, 1514 or 1515 while conquering the Tham fortress in Friesland. Wolf Koller was also his son. He took over his father's possessions after his death.
