Koller (Thuringian noble family)
The von Koller family , also known as Keller, Kolre, were a Thuringian ministerial family.
history
First mentioned in a document in 1304 Friedrich Colre, castellan on the Eckartsburg. Otto, Christoph and Friedrich Koller von Auerstädt , who were entrusted in Fulda in 1486 , are counted as part of the family. Wolf , son of the knight Volkmar Koller, was bailiff of Eckartsberga and chief captain of the Thuringian district in the middle of the 16th century . Goods and a. in Auerstedt, Steinburg , Bucha , Oberingen, Rastenberg, Schwabsdorf, Denstedt, Groß Kromsdorf, Baldestedt, Olbersleben, Groß Mühlhausen, Hopfgarten and Groß Oberingen.
coat of arms
The family coat of arms shows a red, gold-studded Hifthorn ( hunting horn ) with gold clasps and a gold cord. The motif is repeated on the crowned helmet. The helmet covers are red and silver.
The coat of arms should not be confused with that of the Pomeranian von Köller , who had a red diamond in their silver shield, or that of the "von Keller / Kellner" family, who had two keys in their arms.
