Volkmar people
Volkmar people (born April 3, 1938 ) is a German chemist ( physical chemistry ) who is a professor at the University of Münster .
Menschen received his doctorate in 1964 under Georg Maria Schwab at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich , where he completed his habilitation there in 1969 in physical chemistry (double conversions in the solid state). He has been Professor of Physical Chemistry in Münster since 1972, where he was Dean of the Department of Chemistry in 1973/74 and of the Department of Chemistry and Pharmacy from 1998 to 2002 and Vice-Rector for Student Affairs from 1984 to 1990. In 2003 he retired .
He deals experimentally and theoretically with transport properties (diffusion) and reaction kinetics of solids, in particular examining chalcogenide semiconductors and their mixed phases.
