The Volksbank Raiffeisenbank eG Dingolfing is a German cooperative bank based in Dingolfing . With five branches the business area extends over Dingolfing, Frontenhausen and Reisbach .

history

In 1905, under the chairmanship of the master wood turner FX Haberzagl, 13 citizens of the city of Dingolfing met to found a craftsmen's credit cooperative based on the principles of Hermann Schulze-Delitzsch and adopted the statute on the same evening. On January 1, 1906, the Handwerker-Kredit-Genossenschaft started its activities in the Huberbräu inn on Marienplatz. At the end of the first financial year, 59 members had already subscribed for shares. The business assets amounted to 4039 gold marks, the total deposits reached the amount of 43,475.18 marks. The loan was 21,100 marks and the current account credit was 24,209.98 marks. On January 12, 1915, the Handwerker-Kredit-Genossenschaft changed its name to “Gewerbe-Bank eGmbH Dingolfing”. But because farmers, tradespeople and members of all professions had also joined as members in the meantime, two years later there was a change to “Gewerbe- und Landwirtschaftsbank eGmbH Dingolfing”. In the course of the general renaming of the commercial credit cooperatives, the general assembly of March 30, 1941 saw another change of company name to “Volksbank Dingolfing eGmbH”.

The bank's total assets increased eight-fold in the 1950s. On January 6, 1960, the city branch "Kreuzstrasse" opened. On May 8, 1961, the bank bought the old school building at 29 Marienplatz from the city of Dingolfing. The inauguration of the new main office building took place on December 21, 1963. In 1964 branches were also founded in Griesbach and Teisbach. In 1968, the property at Kirchgasse No. 1 in Frontenhausen was purchased. This is where the new Frontenhausen branch was built, which went into operation on October 1, 1970. In 1975 Volksbank made the largest leap in the balance sheet total with 23%. The rented branch building in Kreuzstrasse was purchased in 1977, then rebuilt and opened on June 30, 1979. In the same year the Frontenhausen branch was redesigned.

In 1980 the bank had 2894 members as of January 1, and it had 44 employees. In 1982 the two subsidiaries "Immobilien GmbH der Volksbank Dingolfing" and "Immobilien GmbH der Volksbank Dingolfing & Co. Betriebs KG" were founded. In 1985, the new headquarters at Marienplatz, at the corner of Bruckstrasse, was completed. At the time, its conception made it one of the most modern bank buildings in Bavaria. The balance sheet total exceeded the DM 200 million mark for the first time in 1991 and closed at DM 205.25 million. Volksbank Dingolfing and Raiffeisenbank Mittleres Vilstal merged in 1993 to form Volksbank-Raiffeisenbank Dingolfing, whose business area encompasses almost the entire Altland district of Dingolfing. On March 6, 2010, the newly built Frontenhausen-Marklkofen branch was opened in the new industrial area. With the demolition and new construction of the outbuilding of the main office on Marienplatz, a consulting center was opened in 2015, in which the association partners Bausparkasse Schwäbisch Hall and R + V-Versicherung are centrally located.
