As a cooperative bank, Volksbank Allgäu-West eG belonged to the financial group of Volksbanks and Raiffeisenbanks. In 2017 the bank merged with Leutkircher Bank - Raiffeisen- und Volksbank - eG, which has since been called Volksbank Allgäu-Oberschwaben .
history
On July 1, 1862, 20 citizens founded the Isny savings and advance payment bank, the cornerstone of what would later become the Isnyer Volksbank eG. Today's Volksbank Allgäu-West eG was created through the merger with Volksbank Wangen eG in 2002. The business area included Argenbühl , Isny im Allgäu , Kißlegg , Lindau (Bodensee) , Neuravensburg , Vogt and Wangen im Allgäu . The bank was the protection scheme of the Federal Association of German Volksbanken and Raiffeisenbanken e. V. (BVR) affiliated.
