The elementary school Haebergasse is an elementary school in the 12th district in Vienna .
history
The district museum was housed in the house until the school was founded in 1995.
Architecture and buildings
The house was renovated and modernized appropriately. The school has 14 classrooms, a gym and a library. Adjacent to the school is a kindergarten and an after-school care center.
Educational work, equipment and offers
The elementary school Haebergasse has one class of the pre-school level with 18 students and 13 classes of the 1 to 4 school level with 305 students. (Status: 2014/15)
Children of working parents have the option of early supervision from Monday to Friday from 7:15 a.m.
Since the 2003/04 school year, four classes at our school have been working with a focus on PAIS ( gender- sensitive pedagogy ). As part of this project, some hours are gender-homogenous. These lessons take place across all classes and a teacher also works in the group of boys. The school is the pilot school in this project.
In winter ice skating is offered instead of physical education. Swimming is only offered in 3rd grade.
Workshops on violence prevention are held in the school.
Around seven children of each year are taught in a multi-level class.
Pupils with a mother tongue other than German are taught integratively or in small groups in Serbo-Croatian or Turkish.
There are two computers in each class, the use of which is included in the lesson.
The school does not have day care.
In 2009 the school was awarded a special prize for “special achievements in the field of integration ” as part of the Austrian School Prize.
