The Vorarlberg Electronic Museum in the Vorarlberg Museum World of the market town of Frastanz is housed on around 600 m² of exhibition space in the former company building of the Ganahl textile works . It is located in a spatial combination with several museums .

The museum opened in 1998. It essentially consists of the former and restored power plant of Textilwerke Ganahl and exhibition rooms in which electrical equipment including historical household appliances, lighting and communication devices are shown, as well as demonstration and experiment corners.

Sponsoring association

The Vorarlberg Electronic Museum is supported and looked after by volunteers within the framework of the E-Werke Frastanz museum association. The main tasks of the association are the restoration and preservation of the old hydropower plant built around the turn of the century in the area of ​​the former Ganahl textile works, the documentation and research of the electrotechnical history of Vorarlberg as well as the collection of items related to electrical and communication technology. The area of ​​activity is primarily concentrated on Vorarlberg.

The chairman of the association is Manfred Morscher.
