Vorarlberg Tennis Association

The Vorarlberg Tennis Association (VTV) was founded in the spring of 1955 by the tennis clubs Bregenz , Dornbirn and Feldkirch and is the umbrella organization of the Vorarlberg tennis clubs. It is the third largest sports association in the state of Vorarlberg . Its headquarters and the tennis center of the VTV are located in Dornbirn (exhibition tennis hall).

There are currently 305 tennis courts available in 64 tennis clubs, which are spread over almost 50 Vorarlberg municipalities. 9738 members are registered, of which 3312 players took part in the Vorarlberg team championship ( Volksbank League ) in 2008 .

At the annual general meeting in April 2005, Gottfried Schröckenfuchs was elected President. Its vice-presidents since then have been Peter Raschner and Aldo Sauerwein.

Vorarlberg tennis team championship

The Vorarlberg tennis team championship has been the second largest championship operation after football for many years. It is the second largest popular sports event in Vorarlberg.

For the 40th anniversary of the VTV, the VTV campus (formerly the performance center) was set up in the Dornbirn exhibition hall. At present, 25 players from the VTV campus are intensively looked after every week in over 130 indoor hours on two courts. This also includes professionals such as Yvonne Meusburger and Philipp Oswald . The coaching team consists of Joachim Kretz, Francesco Ceriani, Heikki Raevaara and Daniel Huber.
