The Tennis Club Altenstadt , also known as TC Altenstadt or TCA , is an Austrian tennis club whose facility has been located in Feldkirch-Altenstadt ( Vorarlberg ) since 2001 . The club belongs to the Austrian Tennis Association (ÖTV) and the Vorarlberg Tennis Association (VTV).
History and layout
The TC Altenstadt was founded in 1966 and was able to open its first tennis court in 1968 and add a second court in 1971.
The facility currently comprises six outdoor spaces with a sand surface, four of which are also available in winter by means of an air dome , and an expanded clubhouse.
Game operation
In 2019, the TC Altenstadt took part in the team games of the Austrian Tennis Association with a total of 14 teams.
The first men's team played in the Austrian tennis Bundesliga in 2018 . The team was relegated without a win, but managed to get promoted again the following year.
successes
The greatest success of the club is the win of the Austrian national championship by the women’s team in 2006 as well as the vice national championships in 2005.
The TC Altenstadt has so far won eleven VMM national championship titles (men and women) and is therefore the club with the third most VMM national championship titles behind the TC Bregenz (15 VMM national championship titles) and the TC Dornbirn (29 VMM national championship titles).
