In the construction costing , a distinction is made between power devices and storage devices .

Power devices can be assigned directly to a partial service. Typical power devices are thus the * excavator when excavating a construction pit or when excavating a trench, a black paver when creating a road surface, an auger when creating piles.

Storage devices cannot be assigned directly to a partial service. Typical storage devices are the tower crane , as it is required for a large number of partial services, the wheel loader , which is used for general material transport and various partial services, and construction site equipment such as containers or power generators .
