Wine museum in Ehnen
|
Ehnen ( Luxembourgish Éinen ) is a district of the municipality of Wormeldingen in the canton of Grevenmacher in Luxembourg . The wine-growing village has around 500 inhabitants.
Ehnen extends over two side valleys of the Moselle , which here forms the border between Rhineland-Palatinate (Germany) and Luxembourg. They are formed by the two bodies of water Lennengerbaach and Gouschtengerbaach , which converge in the village and then flow into the Moselle. At the level of the village, the river running south describes a north-easterly bend. Ehnen is about halfway between Schengen and Wasserbillig .
Ehnen and the surrounding villages belonged to Hof Lenneng , which was under the diocese of Trier between 967 and 1795 . With its narrow streets, a wine museum and the only round church in Luxembourg, Ehnen has some sights.
