The VSAO pension foundation , based in Bern, is an autonomous Swiss pension fund . As a joint pension fund, it insures assistant and senior physicians , other employed physicians , academics in further training and employees of the VSAO, its sections and organizations within the framework of the 2nd pillar .
The pension foundation was founded in 1983 by the Association of Swiss Medical Assistants and Senior Physicians . At the end of 2008, a total of 15,662 actively insured persons and 408 pension recipients were affiliated. The investments amounted to 1,172 billion Swiss francs.
Legal bases
The legal basis is formed by the Federal Act on Occupational Old-Age, Survivors 'and Disability Pension Plans , the Federal Act on Freedom of Movement in Occupational Old-Age, Survivors' and Disability Pension Plans and the associated ordinances. The foundation regulations of the VSAO pension foundation are also part of the legal basis.
organization
The highest foundation body is the foundation council . This is composed equally of eight employer and eight employee representatives and is elected for a four-year term. The day-to-day operations are carried out by the three-person management.
