The Vossloh-Schwabe Germany GmbH is a German company with headquarters in Urbach developed the system solutions and components for lighting, manufactures and distributes.

history

The company's history goes back to 1919, when Vossloh KG in Lüdenscheid began to manufacture sockets for light bulbs. With the purchase of Hermann Schwabe GmbH in Urbach, whose roots go back to 1932, Vossloh-Schwabe GmbH was founded in 1987 as a lighting technology division under the umbrella of Vossloh-Werke Werdohl. In 2002 Vossloh-Schwabe was sold by what is now Vossloh AG to the Panasonic Corporation. As a subsidiary of Panasonic Lighting Europe GmbH, Vossloh-Schwabe GmbH, together with its sister companies, is responsible for the lighting market in Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and South America. After the shares in Vossloh-Schwabe were sold to Fidelium GmbH at the beginning of 2020, the company has been aiming for a restructuring under self-management since the end of May 2020.

Locations

In Urbach in Baden-Württemberg , the headquarters of Vossloh-Schwabe Deutschland GmbH, light management systems and electromagnetic ballasts are produced. The sales headquarters of Vossloh-Schwabe Deutschland GmbH is located in Lüdenscheid , where the production of plastic frames and LED optics is located. There is a development department at both locations. The development and production of LED modules for customer-specific solutions and small series is located at the Kamp-Lintfort site . The company also has a central warehouse in Ettlingen and a development site in Trnava (Slovakia).
