Vreneli Prize

The Vreneli Prize is an award for services in the field of numismatics . It is named after the Swiss Goldvreneli and has been awarded annually since 1986 by the Münzen-Revue magazine on the occasion of the World Money Fair .

Prize winners included:

  • 1997 Benedikt Zäch
  • 1999: Award for special numismatic achievements for Kurt Meyer, board member of the Austrian Mint
  • 2000: Award for a globally successful coin distribution for Kirsten Petersen
  • 2003: Kurt Fischer, Helmut Kahnt
  • 2004: Award for the best design for Thomas Pesendorfer, engraver and award for exceptional numismatic achievements in the field of journalism and journalism for Hans-Ludwig Grabowski
  • 2006: Günter Schön
  • 2007: Award for outstanding contributions in the field of numismatics and the philosophy of collecting to Andreas Urs Sommer .
  • 2008: Life work award for Dietmar Spranz, General Director of the Austrian Mint
