The Vulcanello , the "little Vulcano", is the northern tip of the volcanic island of Vulcano in the Tyrrhenian Sea , one of the Aeolian Islands off the north coast of Sicily .

The formation of Vulcanello, which consists of three nested volcanic cones, began in historical times (183 BC) with the formation of the first small volcano between Vulcano and Lipari . Probably around 126 BC. The second cone was formed. It was not until much later, in the middle of the 6th century AD, that the third cone appeared, which went through a second eruption phase in the 16th century. The land connection between Vulcano and Vulcanello was created by the ejected material.

The highest point, the Monte Vulcanello, reaches a height of 123  m slm
