Vytautas Dudėnas
Vytautas Dudėnas (born June 8, 1937 in Dievoniai , Kelmė district ) is a Lithuanian financier and politician, honorary citizen of Kelmė .
Life
In 1944 he emigrated to Germany . from 1945 to 1949 he lived in Kempten ( Bavaria ). In 1949 he emigrated to Chicago (USA). In 1955 he graduated from Tilden Middle School . In 1959 he graduated from the University of Chicago with a degree in humanities and in 1961 a master's degree in finance . He then worked in investment banking . In 1971 he was one of the founders of AMBAC ( American Municipal Bond Assurance Corporation ).
Since 1991 he has lived in Lithuania with his wife Eglė . He was an advisor to the Lithuanian Minister of Finance and until 1993 President of Lietuvos investicijų bankas . From 1996 to 2000 he was a member of the Seimas , from 1999 to 2000 Minister of Finance of Lithuania .
He has been a member of Tėvynės sąjunga since 1993 . He was a member of Ateitininkai .
