Falk Würfele

Falk Würfele (born December 2, 1966 in Berlin-Neukölln ) is a German lawyer (criminal defense attorney) and honorary professor at the University of Siegen .

Life

Würfele was the only child of the businessman Peter Johannes Würfele and his wife Inge Gertrud Würfele, nee. Grains born. After a few years in Berlin, the family moved to Erkrath near Düsseldorf. There Falk Würfele attended the primary school on Falkenstrasse and later the municipal high school in Neandertal. He finished school in 1986 with the Abitur. After completing his military service, he first studied business administration in Essen from 1988 . In 1989, Würfele switched to law studies at Bielefeld University , which he completed in 1993 with the first state examination.

This was followed by the acquisition of a theoretical specialist lawyer qualification in tax law, a doctorate in corporate and legal professional law on the subject of civil law for lawyers as well as a two-year stay in the USA with a study at Miami Law School and an internship at an American law firm. During the doctoral period, Falk Würfele worked as a tutor for law students. The Rigorosum took place in corporate and legal law as well as in loan security law . In 1997 and 1998, Falk Würfele completed his legal clerkship . In 1999 he began working as a lawyer in Düsseldorf. After a short time as an employee, he founded a law firm in Düsseldorf with two partners . Today he works in his own law firm.

Würfele has been an honorary professor at the University of Siegen since 2012, teaching “German and International Construction Law” and “International White Collar Criminal Law and Compliance”. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Construction and Real Estate Law Working Group of the German Lawyers' Association and headed the International Construction Law working group there until 2016.

Social Commitment

In 2010 Falk Würfele founded the aid project “Pilots and Princesses” in Bucharest, Romania. The aim is to give street children a future and especially to give street girls a chance. "If the first gypsy girl becomes a pilot or a princess instead of a prostitute, then it was worth it," says Falk Würfele.
