The Wlodek Cove ( English for Polish Zatoka Włodka ) is a bay on King George Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It lies at the front of the confluence of the Nature Conservation Glacier and Admiralty Bay west of Puchalski Peak and north of Vauréal Peak .
Polish scientists named it in 1980. It is named after the Polish filmmaker and author Włodzimierz "Włodek" Puchalski (1909–1979), who died on January 19, 1979 while working in a penguin colony not far from the Arctowski station . His grave is one of the Historic Sites and Monuments in Antarctica (HSM-51).
