W. Chan Kim

W. Chan Kim is an economist born in Korea. He has taught at the University of Michigan Business School and now holds the Bruce D. Henderson Chair of the Boston Consulting Group for Strategy and International Management at INSEAD in France.

He gained greater fame through the publications on the Blue Ocean Strategy that he produced together with Renée Mauborgne .

Awards

In 2005, W. Chan Kim and Renée Mauborgne were ranked 15th on the “Thinkers 50” list. In 2013 he and Renée Mauborgne took second place behind Clayton M. Christensen .
