WEGA - The special police unit was a nine-part TV documentary series by the Austrian television station ATV about the activities of the Vienna police special unit WEGA . In 2010, camera teams headed by the producer Andreas Mannsberger accompanied several sector strips on their daily operations and their activities on regulatory issues. These reports are supplemented with interviews with the executive officers deployed and the WEGA commander, Colonel Ernst Albrecht . At the end of the series, a special program was broadcast on the violent opera ball demonstrations in the late 1980s, which posed a particular challenge to the executive.
