The SV Thörl is an Austrian football club from the Styrian Thörl . The club emerged in 1991 from the factory sports club Thörl of the wire manufacturer Pengg and plays in the Styrian lower league North A from the 2010/2011 season.

A soccer group was set up at WSV Thörl as early as 1934, but it was not registered with the Styrian Football Association until 1946. The club began in 3rd class in Mürz Valley and played in Fölz-Au until 1959, before today's stadium was opened. In 1984 the WSV Thörl became the Styrian national champion . In the relegation to the 2nd division , the club successfully prevailed against ATSV Steyrmühl and SV Feldkirchen .

In the 1984/85 season he finished sixth of 16 places in the WSV Thörl in his first season, but due to a reduction in professional clubs from 32 to 24 teams, this rank was synonymous with relegation to the Styrian regional league. In 1991 the club area was transferred from the Pengg company to municipal property and SV Thörl was spun off.
