WVA number

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

WVA numbers (Goods sales article numbers) are a classification system for brake , clutch and other friction linings, but also used in particular for road vehicles equipment for its machines. The WVA number system is now used worldwide.

Taking into account the dimensions of the friction linings, the system assigns the differently dimensioned linings to the respective areas of application or use and thus provides a basis for cooperation and the exchange of information between manufacturers, distributors and customers.

One of the tasks of the VRI-Verband der Reibbelagindustrie eV is to ensure the dissemination and further development of the WVA number system. The VRI-Verband der Reibbelagindustrie eV is a member of the Verband der Automobilindustrie (VDA) and the FEMFM-Federation of European Manufacturers of Friction Materials.
