World Wide Championship of LAN Gaming

The WWCL was sponsored by companies, among others Intel and AOL were active as main sponsors . In the first season, around € 100,000 in cash and non-cash prizes were distributed. The sum rose to over € 450,000 spread over various small events in the 13th season.
