Was wij steden doen verrijzen
Waar wij steden doen verrijzen ... ("Where we build cities ...") is the anthem of the Dutch province of Flevoland . The text was written by Mak Zeiler, the melody was composed by Riemer van der Meulen. The focus of the text is the reclamation of land by draining parts of the former Zuiderzee , in the context of which the polders were created on which Flevoland was founded on January 1, 1986 as the twelfth and youngest province in the Netherlands.
