Original text

Was wij steden doen verrijzen
op de bodem van de zee,
onder Holland's cloud cover
tell wij as twaalfde mee.
A provincie that he likes,
jongste stukje Nederland.
|: Waar het fijn is om te wonen,
my Flevoland!: |
Land according to man's hand,
vol vertrouwen en met kracht.
Waar de zee will be teruggedrongen
the zoveel verschrikking brought.
A provincie that he likes,
jongste stukje Nederland.
|: Waar het fijn is om te werken,
my Flevoland!: |
De natuur laat zich money here
dieren kiezen nest of hol.
En de wijde waive
brace ons zo vreugdevol.
A provincie that he likes,
jongste stukje Nederland.
|: Waar het fijn is om te leven,
my Flevoland!: |

German translation

Where we build cities
on the bottom of the sea,
under Holland's cloudy sky
we count as twelfth (province).
A province to be proud of
youngest piece of the Netherlands.
|: Where it is nice to live
my beloved Flevoland!: |
Land made by human hands
full of trust and strength.
Where the sea was pushed back
that once brought so much horror.
A province to be proud of
youngest piece of the Netherlands.
|: Where it's nice to work
my beloved Flevoland!: |
Nature shows its influence here
Animals find nest and cave.
And the wide view
agrees with us so joyfully.
A province to be proud of
youngest piece of the Netherlands.
|: Where it is nice to live
my beloved Flevoland!: |
