Wad Motors is an automobile dealer and manufacturer in Mali .

history

Wad Motors sells and assembles Hyundai civil vehicles and Kia military vehicles .

The vehicles are assembled by Wad-Youngsan industrie SA , founded by Wad Motors with the Korean company Youngsan , for which a plant was built in Banankoro, around 30 km from the Malian capital Bamako . The factory was opened in 2013 by Dioncounda Traoré .

At the beginning, the assembly factory employed 106 workers who were supposed to handle an annual production of up to 2000 vehicles. In 2016, the plant was fully occupied with the contract production of military vehicles.

Wad Motors was named Partner of the Year 2016 by Kia.

Boubacar Yattassaye is the managing director of Wad Motors.
