Vadim Sidorov

Vadim Sidorov ( Russian Вадим Сидоров , English transcription Vadim Sidorov ; born April 11, 1959 ) is a former Russian marathon runner who started for the Soviet Union .

In 1980 he finished eleventh in 2:13:18 h in the Soviet elimination match for the Olympic Games in Moscow . At the World Cross Country Championships in 1981 , he finished 81st.

He had his greatest success in 1982 when he won the Tokyo International Men's Marathon in the Soviet record time of 2:10:33.

In 1991 he finished second in the Soviet championship in 2:13:49 and won the Budapest Marathon .
