Location of the constituency in South Australia .

Wakefield is one of 150 constituencies used to elect the Australian House of Representatives . The constituency was founded in 1903 and is located north of Adelaide . It extends from Salisbury , a district of Adelaide, to Clare . The northeast coast of the Gulf Saint Vincent to Port Wakefield also belongs to the constituency.

In the last election, Nick Champion from the Australian Labor Party won .
