Walchs is a district of the Upper Swabian municipality of Stetten and part of the former municipality of Erisried .

geography

Walchs is about two kilometers southeast of Stetten and is connected to the main town via a local road. In the north the place is bordered by the Saulengrainwald and the area of ​​the Brünnlemahd ; To the north, south and west of the acorn garden forest borders the place. To the east, the area is used for agriculture.

history

The place was originally called Au and was first mentioned in a document in 1458. The place was also mentioned with the Ainödin on the Aw am Saulengrain , which was left to Jacob Walchen to inherit . In 1584 a cutlery was mentioned in Zum Walch . The Chapel of the Holy Trinity was built in 1849.
