Waldemar Kita (born May 7, 1953 in Stettin ) is a Polish-French entrepreneur and football official.
Life
Waldemar Kita was born in Szczecin as the son of a Polish army colonel. In 1968 he went to France with his mother.
Kita made his fortune with the Cornéal company. He founded the intraocular lens manufacturer in 1986 and sold it to Allergan in 2006 for 180 million euros .
In 2007, Kita bought the football club FC Nantes for 10 million euros . He was already active as football president from July 1998 to June 2001, at that time at FC Lausanne-Sport . After his tenure, Lausanne-Sport went downhill.
