Waldemar Schieber
Waldemar Schieber (born May 13, 1927 in the Lower Silesian Doberschau (today Dobroszów) near Chojnow ) is a German horn player and former teacher at the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy University of Music in Leipzig.
Life
Waldemar Schieber studied with Albin Frehse at the University of Music in Leipzig and worked from 1956 to 1961 as 3rd / 1st. Horn player, from 1961 to 1992 as solo horn player of the Gewandhaus Orchestra . He has appeared as a soloist in numerous concerts. From 1961 to 1982 he was a member of the Gewandhaus Wind Quintet.
Waldemar Schieber taught from 1972 to 1994 as a horn teacher at the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy University of Music in Leipzig. His students include Christian Kretschmar , Robinson Wappler , Berno Gorzny and Robert Ostermeyer .
