Waldemar Govinda Torenstra (born March 29, 1974 in Amsterdam ) is a Dutch actor.

Torenstra played the role of Gerrit in 2002 in the film Ja zuster, nee zuster . On television he appeared for two seasons as Sven in the VARA series De Band and played guest roles in the series Zebra and Baantjer . In 2005 Torenstra appeared as Andy in the series Lieve Lust , in 2006 in the VRPO series Waltz and in 2007 as Rinus de Gier in Grijpstra & De Gier , which role he had taken over from Roef Ragas.

In 2008 Torenstra played together with Rutger Hauer in the film Bride Flight and in the same year as star photographer Bob Griffioen in the erotic thriller Seductive Game (Dutch original title Zomerhitte ), with which he also became known in Germany.

Since autumn 2006, Torenstra has been in a relationship with the Dutch television presenter and actress Sophie Hilbrand , who was also his film partner in Seductive Game in 2008 . They are parents of a daughter and a son.
