The Muttodaya Forest Monastery is a Buddhist forest monastery in Germany . It is located in the Herrnschrot district of the Stammbach market in the Upper Franconian district of Hof .

The monastery was founded in 2008. It is located at the end of Herrnschrot on the edge of the forest. The original property has been renewed and expanded. The establishment includes a small publicly accessible library and a prayer room , the Dhamma Hall. There is a hill memorial known as a stupa on the site . Guests can visit the information center, take part in individual religious ceremonies and, with advance notice, participate in the community for several days. The monks live ascetically, everyday life is characterized by meditation. You are dependent on donations. Food is only permitted when the sun is rising. There is a publishing house for Buddhist publications in the village. The monastery is located on the Franconian Stone Kingdom quality hiking trail .
