Route

The path was created on the initiative of the association “Quality of Life through Proximity” (LQN), the implementation of the project was carried out by the Frankenwaldverein e. V. in cooperation with the Fichtelgebirgsverein e. V. The inauguration took place on October 23, 2011 in Marienweiher .

The approximately 75 km long hiking trail is a connecting route in northeast Franconia and leads from the Franconian Forest to the Fichtelgebirge natural area .

Stage 1: From Waldstein to Weißenstein

The first stage begins on the Großer Waldstein with its granite rocks with weathered wool sacks and the numerous sights, including the two castles, the bear trap and the Waldsteinhaus . The Große Waldstein is still part of the Geopark Schieferland in the transition to the Geopark Bavaria-Bohemia . Stage 2: From Weißenstein to Marienweiher

Stage 3: From Marienweiher into Steinachtal
