The Große Koserbach is the 8 km long left source stream of the Koser . Some see the Große Koserbach as just another name for the upper reaches of the Koser up to the confluence of the Kleiner Koserbach .

geography

course

The Große Koserbach rises in Upper Franconia, southeast of Marktleugast -Hohenberg in the valley floor . It flows south and through a small lake near Frauenreuth . Shortly after crossing under the B 289 , it is reinforced by the Langenbach . At Marktleugast-Kosermühle, which it passes in the southeast, there is a mill on the bank. Shortly after flowing past the Gareisen on the right , it changes direction to the southwest. To the east of Marktleugast-Marienweiher it flows through the pond of the same name . A little later the Leugastbach flows into it . The Weihermühle is located nearby . The Große Koserbach changes its direction shortly to the southeast and after the tributary of the Steinbach again southwards. It now cuts through a rugged gorge and then changes its direction of travel to the southwest. At Kupferberg -Schmölz it finally flows together with the little Koserbach to the Koser .
