Susanne Krasmann

Susanne Krasmann (* 1961) is a German sociologist and criminologist . She is professor for "Criminological Social Research" at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Hamburg .

Before her appointment to Hamburg, she was a Fellow of the Straus Institute, New York University School of Law (academic year 2010/11). Her research interests include: Law and Knowledge; Critical security studies; Visibility regime; Control Technologies & Governmentality of the Present; Vulnerability & Political Theory.
