profile

The name goes back to Thomas Hobbes ' well-known state-philosophical writing Leviathan , in which he grants the state almost unrestricted power over its citizens.

The magazine sees it as its task to shed light on the interplay between bourgeois life and rule, individualism and state coercion, peace and the threat of war . The target group is in particular scientists and students of social science disciplines such as political science , sociology and economics , but also other interested parties.
